Doing a room makeover? Just want something pretty and fun to create? Make this colorful accent rug from a Jelly Roll and some batting strips. Use it yourself, or give as a gift….so many possibilities!


Sewing Machine: has to be able to sew a zigzag stitch
Thread: gray, taupe, or off white (something to blend with your fabrics)
Bobbins: you will use a lot, so wind a few extra before you come.                                              
Sewing pins or binding clips                                                    
Seam ripper
Rotary Cutter
Rotary Mat
6” x 24” ruler
Sewing Machine needle: size 14 - 18
Best Press or similar product
Iron and small ironing board, if you have one (don’t purchase just for this class as we will have some on site)

One jelly roll or 42- 2 ½” strips, cut before class

1 ¼ yd. Cotton Batting, 96” wide, precut into17 - 2 ½” strips before class


2 pkg. of Bosal Katahdin Batting On-A-Roll, 2 ½” x 25’


For the 2nd class you will need to bring a pillow, or folded quilt for your rug to rest on while you sew and a box. We will talk more about that during the first class.
