Orphan Block Quilt

Round up all those leftover blocks and join Karen and Michael to learn how to put them together into a quilt. We'll share methods for sizing and arranging, as well as tips and ideas to make your quilt unique and just to your taste.

As many orphan blocks as you have, in whatever sizes and fabrics--the more the merrier!

Bring scraps from your stash--strips, squares, triangles, pieces of yardage

Tools and supplies

Rotary cutter and mat
Rotary ruler(s):  6" x 24" is good, also bring a 12" or larger square-up ruler if you have one.
Neutral thread--gray, cream, white
Sewing machine in good working order
Standard sewing supplies:  pins, scissors, etc.

We will order out for lunch from students' choice of Jimmy John's, Pizza Counter, or Pizza Hut.  You may bring lunch if you wish; the shop has a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven.
