Posh Penelope

Posh Penelope is pure fun!  Make one block, make a table runner, make a wall hanging, make a quilt—it’s your choice, as this class will teach you how to make one block, and then you can make as many as you please.    Don’t be afraid of the curves—they’re gentle, and are oversized so you can trim them to size.  You can do it.  Really.

Fabric ( and pre- cutting):   Note:  This is for ONE BLOCK.  If you want to  eventually make more than one block, I suggest you bring enough for 2 blocks.

Other requirements:

1. “Posh Penelope” pattern from Sew Kind of Wonderful

2. Quick Curve Ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful

3. Rotary cutter — I found it easier to cut with a 60 mm, so bring one if you have it.  If not, the 45 mm will work

4. Rotary rulers:

6” x 24”,  IF you haven’t cut the pieces before class

   Square-up ruler at least 6” x 6”

6. Sewing machine in good working order, with a means to sew accurate 1/4” seam

7. Curve Master foot—IF you have one; it isn’t necessary, just a nice extra

8. Standard sewing notions:  pins, extra needles, thread, etc.

Note:  We will order out for lunch, or you can bring your own.  (The shop has a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven.).  The class will choose from which they wish to order:  Jimmy John’s, Pizza Hut, or Pizza Counter.    —

Requirements: "Posh Penelope" pattern and the Quick Curve ruler, both from Sew Kind of Wonderful, are required for this class. They are available in the shop.
