Design a Temperature Quilt for 2020

Design a Temperature Quilt for 2020
Instructor:   Karen Burns

Learn how to design your own 2020 quilt, based on a block each day that represents the high and low temperatures for that day—or just the high, or the average temperature; the choices are up to you!

You can use any number of one-patches or blocks—the choice is up to you.  You can choose how you want to lay it out, how many (and which) colors and fabrics you use—the choices are up to you.  (Do you see a pattern here?).  We’ll talk about options, use a planning sheet, and look at some examples of how a quilt might work.  You’ll be ready to go on January 1!

Just bring yourself, and a pencil and paper (or digital device you might want to use for notes).

Here are some examples of quilt designs (or pieces of designs) based on the high and low temps of each day in 2018, showing a variety of patches and blocks that might be used. There are many more, so it you have a favorite block  (that you’re willing to make 365 times) we can probably work out how to use it for your quilt.

Requirements: Just bring yourself, a pencil and paper (or a digital device you might want to use for notes).
